American Society of Breast Surgeon's Awards Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed the 2016   Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award


Dr. Rogsbert Phillips-Reed, head of Metro Surgical Associates located in Atlanta and Lithonia, GA, was selected as the second recipient of the ASBrS/Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award. The award was presented on April 16, during the President's Reception of the Society's 17th Annual Meeting in Dallas. Dr. Phillips-Reed founded the nonprofit organization Sisters by Choice (SBC) in 1989. Initially formed as a support group for women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families, SBC has evolved into a multifaceted organization addressing disparities in access to quality breast care in rural and urban Georgia.

Yara Robertson, MD, FACS Receives Salute to Doctors, Physicians and Caregivers Award

Metro Surgical Associates, Inc. is proud to announce that Yara V. Robertson, MD, FACS has been honored as a recipient of the Salute to Doctors, Physicians and Caregivers award. This salute recognizes healthcare professionals from all walks of life that have made a significant contribution in their communities. The event was held a the Marcia Cross Conference Hall on September 12, 2015.
